INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

 

2 Month Entry Level Architecture Internship – Part Time

We are looking for a part time intern – preferably a student of any level (high school, undergrad, graduate) eager for experience working in an architecture firm. The ideal candidate enjoys working with a very small collaborative team, is skilled in Mac-based computer programs and is eager to be challenged. This unique opportunity will allow the candidate to build professional skills in the architecture / design field, as well as business development as we are a new firm that is still creating and evolving our brand.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Drafting in Vectorworks
  • Assisting in completing permit and constructions sets within deadlines
  • Assisting in marketing strategies, building our website and writing 2-4 blogs
  • Small miscellaneous administrative tasks
  • Attend weekly team meetings
  • Cooperate with fellow associates and promote a positive team spirit

Skills Required:

  • Working towards a degree within Architecture or a related field   
  • Experience w/ CAD programs and drafting
  • Proficient Mac knowledge
  • Ability and willingness to learn Vectorworks
  • Experience w/ Adobe Suite – mainly Photoshop and InDesign
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Interested in self-development and is committed to honing design skills
  • Strong graphic and drawing skills
  • Interest in graphic design, marketing and photography

Compensation & Schedule :

  • Internship would begin the first week in October and end in December with the possibility of being hired for a longer internship in the spring
  • 10 hours per week - very flexible schedule
  • Compensation is $15/hour
  • No health or transportation benefits at this time
